What we actually do
We design and build the product, then stay until it runs.
A product fails far more often from scope than from code. Somebody lists twelve features, all twelve get half-built, and the thing ships as five tabs that each do a bit of something. Nobody opens it twice.
So the first week is spent deciding what the product is for, in one sentence, and what gets cut to protect that. Everything after runs against that sentence. If a feature cannot justify itself against it, it waits for version two.
Where speed matters more than completeness, that becomes a fast MVP. Where the product needs an operating layer around it, that is automation. Often it is both, in that order.
